Mark Haverstock is the author of more than 500 fiction and nonfiction articles for Boys' Life, Guideposts for Kids, Guideposts for Teens, Highlights for Children, National Geographic Kids, Cobblestone, WordPerfect Magazine, PCM, Guide, On the Line, Hopscotch, Crusader, Clubhouse, Provoking Thoughts, Good Apple Newsletter, Children's Writer, Parenting Teens, and others. He was formerly a technology columnist for several regional parenting magazines. Has also contributed to several published books including Science Anytime 6th grade science text (Harcourt-Brace, 1995), The Best of the Magazine Markets (Long Ridge Writers Group), Children's Writer Guides to 1997-2008, Children's Magazine Market & Best of the Magazine Markets (Institute of Children's Literature), and is author of Science and Technology Clubs: Ideas and Inventions (Mason Crest, 2005).
Mark is also an educator with 36 years of successful classroom experience grades 5-8. He's conducted adult education classes, professional workshops in computers and educational technology, as well as writers' workshops on nonfiction writing.
